Dan Lai 

Division Chief Financial Officer

Dan is a seasoned finance executive with over 15 years of experience spanning homebuilding, public accounting, and private equity–backed operating environments. He began his career with Pulte Homes, where he spent five years developing a strong foundation in construction finance, operations, and large-scale project execution. 

Dan later earned his CPA while at Ernst & Young, where he spent five years advising clients on accounting, audit, and financial reporting, gaining deep technical expertise and exposure to complex business environments. Prior to joining Redwood, he spent more than 12 years with the Sierra platform, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer. In that role, he led all aspects of finance, including strategic planning, operational finance, and integration across both the new construction and home services segments. As the Sierra business built its platform, Dan played a critical role in driving value creation initiatives, scaling operations, and supporting strategic growth, including contributing to the successful exits of two portfolio companies. 

Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Idaho State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. 

Dan is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he lives with his wife and two boys.
